Anita Briem is an Icelandic actress . Her most well-known role is that of Jane Seymour , the young girl who will become the third wife of King Henry VIII in the series of the tv show The Tudors and for her performance as Hannah in the movie Journey to the Center of the Earth ( 2008 ) . Briem began her acting career when she was 9 years old at the National Theater in Iceland. After graduating, Briem continued to work at the London theater participating in works such as Catalog of Misunderstanding directed by Mike Figgis from the National Theater Studio as well as the successful, five-month run at the West End of Losing Louis .
