Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress from America. She is best known for her character Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Other characters include Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She fell in love acting in the Preparatory school, before moving to Ohio with her family in the late 1970s. She attended theatre classes at Northwestern University and spent a semester studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for a number of years before making a move to film and television. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she played Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. From the start of her career, she was a frequent actor in both film and TV including Seinfeld or NYPD Blue. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully and Deadwood were also part of her career. Gunn did not stop at the stage to play in the David Swimer-directed version of Sex With Strangers. The actress played a role in the audio podcast of four parts drama Numbered days, which came out in 2022. Breaking Bad is often built around Walter White's love affair with his wife Skyler. The strained relationship and ultimate demise mirror the sad end of Walter White.
